Since my previous post on my first look at AWS Bedrock Studio I had AWS Support let me know my Lambda Function Max Memory was set. Bedrock Studio prompt flow challenges remain.

Prompt Flows

I am now able to create a knowledge base, but find that as part of creating the knowledge base there is a model drop down required, and it seems to only want to use Anthropic models.. which I found by trial and error and through enabling those models for access.

AWS Bedrock Studio - prompt flow KB anthropic models - Architect Forward (architectFWD™)

Then once I create the knowledge base using an Anthropic model, successfully it appears, I try and wire it up in the node builder, but the UI / node configuration or something else remains a challenge and I cannot get the output from the Knowledge Base to flow into an output that is useful, neither directly to an output node nor to a prompt flow as indicated in this post [0]

According to [0] the layout should be Flow Input > Knowledge Base > Prompts > Flow Output. See below which is from [0]

AWS Bedrock Studio - prompt flow KB anthropic models - Architect Forward (architectFWD™)

I have created the prompt -

AWS Bedrock Studio - prompt flow KB anthropic models - Architect Forward (architectFWD™)

I cannot connect the output of Knowledge base to an input of Prompts. It appears to not support can input.

AWS Bedrock Studio - prompt flow KB anthropic models - Architect Forward (architectFWD™)

I am not going to continue with Bedrock Studio as I said in my earlier post. I’ve tried again but the errors continue to pop up. Let’s get straight into Bedrock using API.

Please remember to clean up all resources to avoid additional charges.

[0] Add a prompt to your Prompt Flows app, point 8 “Choose Save to save the flow. The flow should look similar to the following.”
